Type selection: Before choosing a connector, it is necessary to first understand the usage environment of the connector, what kind of product to plug in, and the scope and lifespan requirements of the product. This determines the type of connector selected.
Where the connector is used for the product (internal or external connection)
The location of the product used for the connector (indoor, outdoor, corrosive environment, etc.) will affect whether to increase the sealing of the connector or add a shielding shell outside the insulation body, and whether there are higher requirements for the surface electroplating (anti-oxidation function) of the connector.
The performance requirements of the products used for connectors also determine the type of connector required
For example, consumer products mostly require low current and signal connectors, while customers do not have high requirements for connectors. Products should be as small as possible, as long as they have stable contact and are cheap. Industrial control and medical products require harsh operating environments and have certain requirements for stable contact and long service life.
Military and automotive products have higher requirements for connectors, because the harsh operating environment and long service life of the original products basically require connectors to have high stability and long service life. In many places, connectors also require IP67 waterproof requirements.
